This is the industrial unit of Wilson, Sons S.A., located at Guaruja, in the port of Santos, specialised in the building of tugs and medium-sized craft, in the steel and aluminium, as well as undertaking repairs to supply-boats, ferry-boats, yachts, fishing boat and launches. Moreover, this is the first shipyard in Brazil to receive the ISO 9002 Certification, attested by Lloyd?s Register Quality Assurance. With a high standard in the areas of shipbuilding and repairs, achieved over the period of more than 80 years of its existence, Wilson Sons S.A. has a philosophy of development, a continuous investment strategy, acquiring state of the art technology, allied with the training of a highly specialised team of technicians and naval engineers. The Shipyard, pioneer in the development of projects that meet the demands arising from the modernisation of Brazilian ports, is nowadays the biggest builder of harbour tugs in Brazil, using azimuthal propulsion systems which guarantee exceptional versatility, safety and manoeuvrability, with technology comparable with the most advanced in the world. Furthermore, the Guaruja industrial unit possesses a combined system of dry-dock/slipway of 200m. length, 16m. breadth, and maximum depth of 5m., with a capacity for the building and docking of craft with a light displacement of 1,500 tons. Wilson, Sons Shipyard offers the maximum in quality in ship building or ship repairs, counting with trained teams capable of meeting the necessities and demands of the clients. Specialised in the building of Tugs, Patrol Boats, Ferry-Boats, Port Support Craft, Supply-Boats and other craft in steel or aluminium up to 800 tons. The shipyard located in Guaruja - Sao Paulo, possesses a combined system of dry-dock/slipway of 200m length, 16m breadth and a maximum depth of 5m, with a capacity for the docking of craft with a light displacement of up to 1,500 tons. The Wilson, Sons Shipyard offers repairs and maintenance services on support recreation, craft harbour and offshore tugs, fishing boats, leisure craft and another up to 16m of breadth and 5m depht. Amongst the principal activities we can emphasise: Decarbonisation of Main Engines and Auxiliaries; Dismounting, Inspection/Verification, Alignment and Mounting of the Shaft and Propulsion System ( Azimuthal, Variable Pitch ) and Steering system repairs; Structural Reapirs : Revision and Tests on Hydraulic Systems (water, oil and air) of the Ship; Revision and Tests on Electrical Systems (440 v. AC, 220 v. AC, 110 v. AC, 24 v. DC, 12 v. DC, etc.); Revision and Tests on Mechanical Equipment (Compressors, Centrifugal Pumps and those of Positive displacement, Windlasses, Winches, Capstans, etc.); Revision and Structural repairs of the Craft's Hull; Carpentry Repairs; Sand-blasting and Painting; Sand-blasting and Painting; Machining services; Revision and tests on Communication and Electronic Navigation Systems.
