At a brand new logistics centre called Ridderhaven at Ridderkerk located only 15 km from the Waalhaven, the major Rotterdam port area. This centre, with 50.000 square metre of warehouses, is located close to the A15 one of the major Dutch highways. It is also accessible by coastal vessels and river barges since is was built along the river "de Noord", one of the major rivers of Holland connecting Rotterdam with the German hinterland, Belgium and France. The centre has a one way drive in system and its own river-container terminal. Our vessels serving the Channel Islands call here directly. The centre has been designed like a luxury cruise-liner, in which offices have been built, with parking space on the main deck. Various groupage operators offering services to many destinations in the world use the warehouses inside the centre (14 in total with 58 dockboards). The fact that we load and discharge directly at the centre gives us the opportunity to use these services, in this way achieving faster transsittimes against lower transhipment expenses. The centre if fully equipped with electronic security devices, fire control systems, computer and communication services and a central checkpoint. Customformalities can be fulfilled right at the logistic centre.
