Working through a network of contacts, a fleet of around 120 ships is at our command; a cargo capacity of over 42 million cubic feet or space to load some 360,000 pallets under deck, which can even be increased by making use of on deck container capacity Seatrade Reefer Chartering, located at the dockside in Antwerp, manages the fleet commercially and operationally, maintaining permanent communications with the vessels and a worldwide network of agents. Whether at sea or in the office, sophisticated technology is important, but even more so the dedication and experience of the people. They ensure a smooth operation 24-hour-a-day, all year round. The team includes operators, commercial and technical managers capable of handling any and all aspects of your needs. This is why all ships operated by us are equipped with first-class climatic control systems, operated by highly trained engineers. Our present fleet of around 120 ships has been designed for a safe and efficient carriage of perishables, fresh, frozen or otherwise processed fruit, vegetables, bananas, fish or any other commodity, whether loaded break bulk, palletised or in containers. All vessels are equipped with cargo gear that takes care of loading and discharging in any port or place in the world, as well as high seas transhipment. Through sophisticated satellite communication systems, we can monitor cargo condition while en route. Although Seatrade is specialised in the carriage of refrigerated cargoes also project cargoes are shipped on board our vessels. We have had the pleasure to transport a large variety of these cargoes, ranging from a full load of bagged cocoa beans to a full load of cars. Also single pieces such as trucks, excavators and America s Cup yachts have found a safe place on board Seatrade vessels.
