Site teams responsible for supervision of newbuilding of ships and offshore units can be located at various yards in Europe and far East as required. The onshore organisation consists of four main sections: Vessels Operating Department Newbuilding / Engineering Department Organisation Department Economy Department Vessels Operation Department The Operations Department comprise of the Technical Department and the Purchasing Department. The personnel working in these departments are a mix of senior maritime personnel and engineers/masters of science plus other qualified personnel and have extensive experience in operation of vessels. Newbuilding / Engineering Department The Newbuilding / Engineering department is known for its expertise within naval architecture and dynamic positioning systems, supports the operations department and is responsible for conceptual engineering and supervision of newbuildings and modification/conversion projects. The department has over the years managed and completed approx. 45 major projects. Organisation Department The Organisation divison comprise of the Human resource department, Information Technology and Health Environment & Safety incl. Quality assurance.The Human Recourse department is responsible for training and recruitment of all personnel as well as the day to day rotation of the personnel onboard the units. About 600 persons from several countries are employed on board ships and offshore units including about 15 trainees. The seafaring and offshore personnel have gathered unique experience from harsh North Sea operations and from trade in international waters. Economy Department The Economy Divison is responsible for all acounting and payroll both for RMS and for the different companies within Rasmussengruppen AS. About Rasmussen Maritime Services AS (RMS) RMS of Kristiansand, Norway, is a professional ship- and offshore management company owned by The OSM Group and Rasmussengruppen AS. RMS is specializing in the operation of shutteltankers, semi-submersible accommodation vessels, floating storage vessels, tankers and bulk carriers. RMS also provides engineering support services within construction and building/rebuilding of vessels. We are providing these services to Rasmussengruppen AS, NAVION ASA and other customers. RMS has been awarded the Quality Prize by the Norwegian Society of Quality Assurance and has several times been assigned Statoil's Safety Award for the operation of shuttle tankers.
