About Us In 1984 we started out as Hermont Marine Equipment Inc. One man with some products, who set the goal to provide quality products and expert advice to marine clients. Milestones for us are: 1984: Hermont Marine Equipment Inc is incorporated in Montreal. 1986: hermont expands into industrial sales by acquiring B. Fortin (1977) Inc. 1995: Hermont divides into Hermont Marine and Hermont Industrial Inc. 1998: Hermont is ISO-9002 certified Hermont Marine has evolved into a North American supplier of cost saving solutions in areas of safety, energy efficiency, and pollution abatement. Our goal is to provide our customers with quality products and expert advice, i.e. to help you meet your operational objectives within environmental constraints. Our areas of activity are: Pollution abatement Energy efficiency of diesel engines Ships safety The Sigma Oil/Water Separator processes bilge water in a downward stream through a generously proportioned tank. The slow downward velocity allows for effective oil and water separation and In the two coalescer boxes, arranged in series, the coalescing properties of the media are exploited optimally. This makes the Sigma OWS an efficient and reliable oily water separator. PFM post separation absorption filter MEPC.60(33), as drafted, calls for a 15ppm Bilge Separator, capable of removing emulsified oil. Oily water separation followes laws of physics, which does not permit the removal of emulsified oil through gravity separation. An economical solution for the complete removal of emulsified oil from the discharge water is by means of adsorption in the PFM polishing filter. The loose filter media removes residual oil and allowes maximum utilization of the adsorption capacity of the media. Deckma OMD-21 oil content monitor Discussions on revisions to MEPC.60(33)center on the elimination of emulsified oil from the bilge water effluent. The OMD-21 with it's enhanced light scattering measuring principle approaches the drafted regulations for the future 15 PPM Bilge Alarm. Focas Oil Content Meter Hermont install the Focas 1500 in bilge water systems since 1986. The ultrasound-enhanced turbidity measuring principle has a proven track record in the 5-ppm effluent requirements of the Canadian Great Lakes. The meter is reliable, sturdy and economical. Deckma OMD-11 oil content monitor The OMD-11 employs a novel, proprietary turbidity measuring principle, which reduces the influence of background turbidity caused by solids in and/or discoloration of bilge water. The Deckma OCM distinguishes between oil and turbidity. Hamann sewage treatment In sewage treatment, Hamann supply a compact approved system, perfected over 25 years proven service. The equipment is fabricated from stainless steel for long service life. OCM Calibration To facilitate Coast Guard inspection and acceptance of the bilge water separator system, we calibrate oil content meters on our test bench since over 10 years. This service provides assurance to owner and regulator that the oil content meter works to IMO requirements. Graviner pioneered oil mist detection some 50 years ago and with their new MK-6 system they set a new standard for improved safety on ships. Here are a few advantages to the MK-6: multi-engine capability, high scan rate, complete flexibility, pipe-free instalation, control unit located in engine room or other suitable location, low initial cost, simple to extend and no air supply or exctractor fans needed. Airchime Whistles With Airchime we offer the full range of quality sound signaling equipment for marine applications, from engine room alarms to powerful electric piston horns. We also offer omni-directional alarm horns for oilrigs and industrial applications. Tebul Oy Watertight Bulkhead Doors Tebul watertight sliding doors offer modular construction for ease of installation. Doors are supplied ready to install and require no additional fitting by the yard. Speich Clear View Screens Speich has been operating in the maritime and nautical sector since 1938, when the first clear view screen was patented. Over the years the company has specialized in production of high quality windscreen wiper systems specifically designed for marine environment, according to strict reliability and durability criteria. Speich Windshield Wipers Speich's made-to-measure pantograph and pendulum heavy duty wipers are designed to last a lifetime on the toughest vessels in the toughest conditions.
