C. Steinweg Warehousing (Korea) Ltd Busan, the second largest city in Korea of 4 million residents, is located on the Southeastern tip of the Korean peninsula. Its deep harbour has allowed it to grow into the largest container handling port in the country and the fourth largest in the world. Due to congestion of containers in the terminals, most of the warehouses in Busan are quite distant from the port. Our warehouse is in the south-west part of Busan. It is approved for both bonded & non-bonded storage and LME approved for Aluminium, Copper, Nickel and Tin. Its total capacity is 24,000 sqm. Our main businesses are forwarding, warehousing, stevedoring, trucking, packing & repacking, bundling and all related services of the cargoes. We are mostly handling non-ferrous metals such as Aluminium, Copper, Lead and Tin, but also Ferro Alloys and agricultural cargoes such as Cocoa and Coffee. Forwarding Through our worldwide network of offices, we can offer door-to-door shipments from almost everywhere to any destination of your choice, they all have close relations with shipping lines, trucking companies, railway companies, airfreight agents etc. allowing a choice of the most cost effective means of transport, whether you need to ship one drum, a full container load, multiple container loads or break bulk cargo (conventional). The size of our combined cargo volume at any one time enables us to negotiate the most competitive rates for our customers. Forwarding also can involve physical distribution for producers, sales agents etc with intermediate storage in one of our warehouses around the world. All this is done in a confidential way, ensuring your business remains your business alone and no one else's. Warehousing One of our core activities is warehousing of a variety of commodities. Many of our warehouses are approved for the storage of commodities traded on the 'London Metal Exchange' (LME), 'London Finance Futures and Options Exchange' (LIFFE), the 'Shanghai Futures Exchange' (ShFE), the 'Singapore Commodity Exchange'(Sicom) and by the 'Minor Metals Trade Association' (MMTA), whereas others are specifically suited for storage of specific commodities, such as temperature/humidity controlled spaces, high security vaults etc. Our facilities are fully recognized/accepted by major international banks and insurance companies. Our warehouse-receipts/warrants and releases are internationally accepted to facilitate financing and insurance of stocks held in our custody. LME approved warehouses are located in Antwerp, Baltimore, Barcelona, Bilbao, Busan, Dubai, Flushing, Genoa, Gwangyang, Hamburg, Leghorn, New Orleans, Rotterdam, Singapore, Trieste, Yokohama. MMTA approved warehouses in Antwerp, Duisburg, Rotterdam. LIFFE approved warehouses in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Flushing, Hamburg, Rotterdam. ShFE approved warehouses in Shanghai. Sicom approved warehouses in Singapore Stevedoring Loading and unloading of vessels is an activity we can arrange world wide at our own facilities or through arrangements with the local Port Authorities / Operators. We operate our own stevedoring terminals in Antwerp, Baltimore, Genoa, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Singapore and Trieste having access to our own berths, with warehouses either alongside or in the vicinity allowing covered or open-air storage.
