BW Technologies Ltd. designs, manufactures and markets a full line of gas-detection equipment. The local staff relocated to this building in July 2001, where both the administrative and production team work. All of BW s products are designed and manufactured in house. BW s History BW Technologies was founded in 1987 by Cody Slater, when he invented what would become the company s very first product the Rig Rat. At the time, Slater was working towards an astrophysics degree at the University of Alberta. But the innovative Rig Rat the world s first wireless, solar-powered gas detector was enough to change Slater s career plans. He left university to pursue the creation of a new business, and BW Technologies was born. Today, Slater is CEO and president of BW Technologies Ltd., and his company employs more than 150 people around the world. BW is a leader in the gas-detection industry with nearly 30 technologically advanced products. Slater was recently recognized by Report On Business in the magazine s annual Top 40 Under 40 feature a list of the country s best and brightest innovators under the age of 40. The instrument is labeled with the date of calibration. This verifies that you are diligently maintaining your instruments in the event of safety audit. All repairs are personally signed by the technician performing the work. BW Technologies technicians are continuously trained with changes to products. Turnaround averages 1 to 3 days the shortest time in the industry. In an emergency we repair your instrument the same day it is received no extra charges apply. Only BW Technologies can assure that your original intrinsic safety approvals are not voided. BW Technologies uses only NIST traceable calibration gas to assure accuracy of your instruments Repaired components are warranted for one full year. Only send the instrument and the components that need to be repaired. Please ensure that the instrument(s) is securely packed in an appropriate shipping box. Include information such as: contact information (for your convenience use the Printable Return Form provided), pre approved repair limit, observations about the instrument, a Purchase Order Number and then seal the box. ***Please ensure that the service order number is clearly marked on the box. At this point the customer must approve the repair or service and issue a purchase order number. After the customer has given approval, the Technician will perform the required procedure. The final testing includes a burn-in procedure on replacement sensors as well as calibration of the instrument. When service procedures, final testing and calibration have been completed the instrument is sent to Quality Control for final inspection, and from there to Shipping. The invoice, if needed, will be mailed the day following shipment. BW Technologies will ship the equipment back to the customer using Fedex/UPS, unless requested to do otherwise.
