Incorporated in 1976, Bytown Marine Limited (BML) is a Canadian company most widely recognised as a supplier of marine electronics, especially GPS receivers, Inmarsat satcom terminals and hydrographic survey systems. During the 1980's BML played a leading role as a supplier of navigation and communications systems, providing installation, commissioning and training services to the Canadian Navy and Canadian Coast Guard as their fleets were equipped with satellite navigation receivers and Inmarsat satellite communications terminals. In 1984, the company expanded its capabilities beyond marine systems into the areas of satellite weather imagery, environmental monitoring, industrial lasers and solar energy systems. With such a diversified range of products Bytown Marine Limited is now structured into four sales divisions: BML Marine Systems Division BML Environmental Systems Division BML Communications Division BML Industrial Division. Customer satisfaction has always been important to BML and their expanded list of successfully completed projects is testimony to this commitment. BML provides the highest level of customer support possible, including application assistance, training and after sales service support. Technical support services for each division are co-ordinated from Ottawa, Ontario where the company maintains a fully equipped electronic workshop and a comprehensive inventory of spare parts and components. In 1995 Bytown Marine Limited relocated to its new corporate headquarters where the company's administrative, sales and technical support services have been consolidated. This new facility has allowed the company to expand its engineering and technical support capabilities and increase the level of support provided to its many customers. Key personnel information can be found at our Contact Information page. The Marine Systems Division offers a wide range of specialized marine electronics including GPS navigation systems, Inmarsat satcom terminals and hydrographic survey systems. After sales technical support is an essential ingredient to the services that the Marine Systems Division provides to its customers. In addition to providing installation, commissioning and training services, the company's trained technical staff undertake field engineering services and in-house overhaul and maintenance. The Marine Systems Division is continually adding new products to its portfolio and have recently introduced a new range of Marine RTK-OTF DGPS Survey Systems to the Canadian market.
