Lalemant (USA) Inc was formed in 1986 as a drybulk shipbrokering house.Over the past 16 years, Lalemant (USA) has extablished itself as one of the leading drybulk brokers in the New York, particularly in the Solid Fuels field. The Company performs strictly as ship and cargo brokers, and does not take any positions on cargoes or vessels. Lalemant (USA) is part of the Lalemant Group in Belgium. The parent company is more than 130 years old and is involved in North sea Trading, and the operating or brokering of various sizes of bulkcarriers. Lalemant Ghent also operates a trucking company and barging and ship agencies in Belgium. Lalemant USA is a member of the Baltic Exchange and B.I.M.C.O. and is responsible for the chartering of some 8-10 million tons of bulk cargo per annum, the majority being Petcoke and Coal.. As members of both The Baltic Exchange and B.I.M.C.O. the full range of these organizations' services are made available to customers.
