Allard-Europe is a foundry built for jobbing work, prototypes and single pieces, and for small to large series. We produce as well iron as casted steel, within a range from a few grams up to 19 MT in steel and 22 MT in iron. The materials range from unalloyed to highly alloyed qualities. The foundry produces on the demand of our customers more then 100 different materials to the client's specifications or to the national standards. Our infrastructure is built for the fabrication of small series and weights from several MT. The foundry has its own pattern shop, cleaning shop and machining shop. The cleaning shop has several furnaces for the heat-treatment of the castings and all the necessary machinery to perform a thorough cleaning job. Our machining shop has several machines, mostly specialised for the machining of the heavier and larger castings. A large machining shop where turning-, boring- and milling-machines are available. Assembling and quality inspection, along with personal service and flexibility, assure our customers a tailor-made product. Prior to shipment all components delivered by Sub-contractors are also thoroughly inspected according to High-quality standards. In the cleaning shop, skilled personnel uses automatic shot blasting, cutting torches and grinding tools to clean the castings. Five fully automated heat treatment furnaces can process up to 40 MT of castings at one time. Computerised process controllers insure a perfect heat treatment of every casting. Water, oil and forced air quenching facilities are available. Surface treatments for particular requirements may also be offered. The moulding and melting shops can accommodate pieces up to more than 20,000 Kg in weight. Small or large quantities can be made with ease. Modern moulding and sand-binding systems are used to produce the finest casting finishes. Constant attention to sand-quality and composition assures the specified requirements for each casting. With 5 induction furnaces a total of more then 23 MT can be melted at one time. Only high quality scrap and alloys are used during the melting process. Process computers continuously monitor the progress of the furnaces. In our modern laboratory, melt samples are analysed with an optical spectrograph and quantitative instruments. The analysis of each melt is adjusted to meet specifications through computerised equipment linked to each furnace. A final analysis just before pouring assures the exact composition requirements of each casting. Finally, ladle-metallurgy is applied to meet the complex requirements regarding the composition of the large pallet of materials. We produce as well iron as casted steel, within a range from a few grams up to 19 MT in steel and 22 MT in iron. Allard-Europe nv
