This also includes matters relating to commercial drafts, letters of credit, Incoterms, terms of payment, etc. Our company is connected to TVINN, and through our reliable network of agents and partners, we handle all matters related to customs clearance and documentation worldwide. The traditional broker generally takes care of the chartering part. In activities such as cargo stowage, planning/pre-inspections of tonnage, lashing and securing, a great uncertainty exist. To be competitive in the project market for the transport of offshore units, it is imperative also to be able to make necessary calculations concerning stability, stowage etc., including stowage plans and yo carry out securing of the units onboard the vessels and/or lighters. For our customers in the offshore and ships furnishing industry, we specialise in the handling and containerisation of out of gauge cargo, including stowage plan, design, sea fastening, lashing and securing. Chartering In our chartering activity we have, besides being competitive brokers, specialised in relatively large offshore units, heavy lift, constructions and project cargo. Our customers are related to the offshore -, shipyard and ships` furnishing industry. Throughout the years, we have focused on developing routines and knowledge to accomodate the demands that the industry requires. As brokers we have expanded our services to include the following: On-/offhire survey of T/C vessels Draft survey Stowage planning Lashing and securing of cargo Ship clearance has been one of our core activities for many years. We have experience in the clearance of most ship types as tankers, drycargo/container vessels, reefers, offshore and cruise vessels. Through our routines, we strive to provide our clients with the optimal service. We handle vessels in the harbours of Sandnes, Stavanger,Austevoll, Bergen, Agotnes, Mongstad, Kollsnes,Sture, Floro and Kr. Sund. For a major cruise-operator, we act as general agent for Norway including Spitsbergen.Our main terminals are situated in Bergen, Haugesund and Sandnes/Stavanger. These are designed for loading and discharging ships and trucks handled by us, lashing and securing of cargo, stripping and stuffing of containers and distribution. In Bergen we have a warehouse of 3.500 square meters and open storage facilities. Further we have our own forklift trucks ranging from 2,5 t. - 42 t., a heavy lift crane 50 t, railway connection depot and our own depot of lashing and securing equipment.Through our company, Martens Interfreight AS, situated at Flesland airport, Bergen, we offer airfreight services worldwide, ranging from airport-to-airport. door-to-door and charter services. Depending on customers`requirements, we offer consolidation services, full loads and shipment out of gauge cargo, both on the domestic and international markets.
