Remolcadores Ultragas Ltda. is the leading company in the chilean market for tugs with the largest, most modern and powerful fleet in the country. Its presence in all the important ports and terminals along the extensive chilean coastline together with the professionalism and dedication of its personnel has ensured its leadership in this competitive sector of maritime transport for more than thirty years. The group Ultramar / Ultragas began its activities in tugs market when the tug Ultramar I arrived to the port of Arica in 1965. Starting from that year the fleet has left increasing until becoming the most modern, biggest and most powerful in Chile. Since 1990, Ultragas has been engaged in a tug building programme to modernize the fleet which now counts with 18 tugs and one pilot boat.
