For a vessel Owner, the benefits of travelling to this part of Australia for a refit are two-fold, one is the favourable exchange rates and second is the opportunity to explore and experience this unique and vast continent. Immediately at your doorstep are the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. To the south, the picturesque and pristine Whitsunday Islands beckon and to the north, the unspoiled Kimberley region provides adventure and a voyage of discovery. The South Pacific is dotted with a myriad of islands that each have their own story to tell. Cairns Slipways recognises that many of the vessels visiting this part of the world, will have come from far and away places and have limited knowledge of the area. For this reason, we have taken the liberty of compiling a services directory and sample cruising itineraries that may be useful to both Captains, Crews and Owners alike.
