Polcargo International offers professional and reliable inspection services of the wide range of commodities: - sampling and quality inspection (laboratory analyses) - standards according to clients' requirements (PN, EN, ISO, ASTM, DIN, GOST etc), - tallying and supervision of weighing, - pre-shipment inspection, - supervision of loading and discharging, - inspection of packages and commodity stowage, - technical and commercial consulting, - social audits, - technical supervision of technological process. Wide range of products are analysed in two main sections of Central Laboratory: 1. The agriculture and food section deals with all aspects of examination and assessment of quality of such goods as: grain and oilseeds, oils, fruit and fruit products, soft and alcoholic beverages, different kinds of animal feeds like soya bean and rapeseed meals. We also analyse sugar and sugar products (molasses, sugar beet pulp etc). 2. The chemical products section deals with complete analyses of coal, coke, fuel oil, diesel oil, gasoline and other petroleum products, natural raw materials, fertilizers, salt and other chemicals. More details on our section sites. We are the biggest superintending company in Poland and one of the bigger superintending companies in Europe. We co-operate with 85 companies of the world importance and with 300 Polish firms engaged in international goods turnover.At the moment our staff amounts to 172 employees, whereof 22 people work in our Laboratory. Our staff consists of experienced and highly educated professionals, some of them are scientists with Phd titles. We have branch offices in the most important economic regions in Poland and representatives abroad. In 1996 we obtained a certificate ISO 9002, renewed in 1999 and afterwards in 2002, registered in IQNet - now under the number: PL - 38/3/2002. In June 2001 we obtained an Accreditation Certificate of Type A as the third inspection body in Poland (and the first privately owned one) in the scope of inspection of cereals and foodstuffs, fertilizers, coal and coke. In October 2001 the scope of accreditation was widened by inspection of liquid fuels. Scope of accreditation is given in the Accreditation Certificate of Inspection Body Nr AK 003 granted by Polish Centre for Accreditation, confirming that Polcargo International meets the requirements of the standard PN-EN 45004. Our Central Laboratory already in 1997 received an Accreditation Certificate on the conformity with the requirements of the standard PN-EN 45001. At the beginning of 2003 Polish Centre for Accreditation confirmed that our Laboratory meets the requirements of the standard PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2001. Scope of accredited activity is defined in the Accreditation Certificate of Testing Laboratory Nr AB 103. Polcargo International posseses excellently equipped and constantly improved Central Laboratory and Laboratory of Non-Destructive Testing, which remain in full disposition for our Clients requirements. This feature of our Company enables to render inspection services in the shortest available time. Chemical Division offers reliable and professional inspection services that cover most of the major and important areas of chemical and mineral trade. We perform inspection services of a wide range of goods, particularly: - crude oil and liquid fuels (gasoline, aviation fuels, diesel oil, fuel oil etc.), - other petroleum and coal products, - liquid chemicals (as sulphuric acid, phosphoric acid, caustic soda, liquid ammonia), - raw and rectified alcohols, - fertilizers (solid and liquid), - chemical products and raw materials, - various minerals, - building materials, - hazardous goods. The inspections are performed by our own highly qualified and experienced experts and surveyors. We are very experienced in the fuels control. Our activity takes place in harbors, on border - crossings and inland as well. Because Polcargo International has its own Laboratory, we are able to render complex services to our clients. Our staff stays to your disposal at any time. The basic function of the department is to verify identity, weight, quantity and condition of various commodities such as: - general cargo, - steel products, - containers and containerised goods (stuffing), - paper. The brand lines of our activity are pre-loading survey, stowage survey and supervision during loading or unloading of goods in the area of all Polish ports.The scope of our activity also contains assessment of "less value" cargo and damage survey of various goods. We are also able to perform technical supervision of production process according to international and Polish standards. We are the agent of great international inspection companies. Ordered services can be performed not only at the port of Szczecin but at other ports, storage areas and works throughout Poland and other countries. Our surveyors are at your disposal at any time. Bulk Cargo Division is situated just in the middle of the bulk cargo sector of the port of Szczecin, at one of the quays where loading and discharging constantly take place. We work in the 24-hour system all year round. The equipment we use originates from worldwide known companies. Our inspectors and surveyors have at least dozen-year practice and experience in work at this part of the port. Equipment that we use complies with requirements of Polish and international standards, whichever is required. We are prepared to do nearly all kinds of required inspections during loading or discharging bulk materials at the port; also outside the port, if needed. In particular, we offer complex inspection of the following cargoes: - coal and coke, - ores of iron, manganese, chromium, - concentrates of zinc, lead, copper, - ferroalloys, - sulphur, phosphates and apatites, salt, - some building materials, - timber and pulpwood of various kinds, - scrap. Agricultural and Food Division provides inspection services to the numerous food and agricultural commodities. The main goods we deal with are: - cereals (wheat, barley, corn, rye, oats, rice) and derivatives, - oilseeds and oilseed extractions, - seeds of the plants (eg lupin, fieldpeas, horse bean, buckwheat), - animal feeds (meals, cakes, pellets etc.), - vegetable and animal oils and fats, - sugar, sugarbeet pulp, molasses and vinasses, - fruit, vegetables and their preserves, - coffee and cocoa beans, tea and spices, -nuts, dried fruits, etc, - wine and other beverages, - fish, meat, poultry and derived products, - and many other merchandise of agricultural origin. We are members of GAFTA and FOSFA and work according to their Codes of Practice as well as we follow the good practice of the trade. We perform full range of organoleptic and sensory analyses. We have our own executive potential (Central Laboratory), and our branch in Gdynia posess specialistic laboratory devoted to quality estimation of green and roasted coffe, tea, cocoa beans and their derivatives.
