HISTORY Rodskog are one of the longest established shipbrokers in Hong Kong, having extensive relationships with Owners, Charterers and brokers, both local and overseas. Founded in 1968, the Company was bought by the merchant bank Kleinwort Benson in 1983. In 1990 Kleinwort sold the expanded company to Torm, who in turn, in 1996 sold the Company to Astrup Fearnley A/S of Oslo. Astrup Fearnley owns the prominent Oslo based shipbroking company Fearnleys A/S. The Rodskog management team have a depth range of experience perhaps unmatched in their field, and as a result it is fair to say that the Company is at the forefront of the Hong Kong and China markets, with a hard-won reputation for integrity, commitment and service to their clients of the highest quality. A wealth of experience working for you. VALUATIONS Rodskog produces regular valuation reports for banks, P&I Club, investors and owners. As a valuer approved by the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, our services have consistently met their high standards for professionalism and integrity. We are efficient, thorough and discreet. SALES AND PURCHASE BROKERS Brokering the sale and purchase of vessels is one of Rodskog s key activities. All aspects of the sale and purchase process are covered, from the initial negotiations to delivery, including legal transfer documentation if required. The company has built up important connections with local and PRC related shipping companies over the years. New business is always being developed both in Hong Kong and regionally, with particular emphasis on Japan, Korea and South East Asia. CHARTERING BROKERS Rodskog has a substantial number of vessels on period charter through the Company at any time and maintains close relations with European, North American and Far Eastern charterers through regular visits and communications. Spot fixing also represents an active and increasing part of the Company s business, and with the strong growth of the Hong Kong based charterers many clients are profiting form our wide-ranging, deep knowledge of the local and regional market.
