Our company was founded by Peter Koletzki in December 1972, when he started to establish his first contacts and intensified those already made. In the beginning we concentrated on coastal dry-cargo business mainly within Europe and we are proud to say that a lot of our business is still done with friends that we first fixed with some 25 years ago. In the meantime we have extended our activities and now work tonnage of up to 30.000 mtons deadweight in the world-wide trade, but still dry-cargo only. There is a slight concentration on grains, but we also have various established contacts to some of the major companies in the steel and fertiliser trade. We regularly collect the positions of our close Shipowners and send out a weekly list of their deep-sea tonnage as well as the coastal vessel. You are welcome to contact us if you would like to receive same in the future when please kindly indicate which sizes you are mainly interested in. At the same time we also weekly list the direct cargoes we are concentrating on. Again you are welcome to contact us if you wish to regularly receive that list, there is one coastal-list and a deep-sea collection. If you should have any further questions, just mail to us. We will be pleased to take care of any of your requests. Peter, born in 1943, is in the shipping-business for nearly forty years now. His career started with an apprenticeship at Hans Boese of Hamburg. Before he started his own business in 1972, one of his main employments was with Messrs. Ahrenkiel of Hamburg.Thereafter he began to work on his own in a small room in the basement of his private house in December 1972 with two telephones only. During the years he concluded a huge number of long-lasting contacts and friendships in the European shipping-community and he has been able to continuously let his own company grow by extending its activities. He follows special projects as well as Time-Charter business, but he is also still working some of his first accounts from the old days in steel, grain and fertilisers. Peter has two sons, one of them working for the company, whilst the younger one, Michael, decided to keep out of shipping to work on computers, which helps us to keep our own system up to date. Peter is also regularly in charge of the final tests for the next generation of young shipbrokers at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. His hobbies include Tennis, Inline-Skating, Fitness, Music and Art. In January 1985 the apprenticeship ended with the final examines which he passed with great success and the 1st February, 1985 was his first day at Koletzki's. Andreas works a lot with our co-brokers in sizes up to 30.000 mtons but also has some major direct clients in the grain-trade. Andreas is married and has two children, Philipp and Jacqueline. He is regularly seen as a Football-Referee on the grounds in and around Hamburg, which is one of his main hobbies besides the family. After finishing school Martin passed a 2 ? year apprenticeship with Aug.Bolten of Hamburg, whereafter he spent one year in London and Rouen. In December 1990 he returned to Hamburg and started working for his dad. Since he is fluent in French he has been able to establish some major contacts in France, mainly but not only on the grain-side of business. He is working all sizes up to 30.000 mtons. Martin is married, his daughter Lara was born in May 2002. One of his main hobbies is the theatre, he is regularly performing in theatrical plays in a small village, just outside Hamburg. After an apprenticeship with Messrs. Alstership of Hamburg, which ended in 1998 when he succesfully passed the final tests at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, he spent his military service with the German Navy for one year. Thereafter he went to Cardiff, Wales to work as a shipbroker. After his first seven months as a trainee with Charles M.Willie, he joined Messrs. Harvest Shipping as a competitve broker, concentrating on British Charterers looking for tonnage in sizes of 2.000 upto 20.000 mtons. In October 2001 it took him back to his hometown of Hamburg, joining the Koletzki-Team on the 1st of November. His leisure time is one big Basketball-Match, either as a player or referee.
