In addition we also started preparations for the ISO-14001 Environmental Certificate, involving inland transport and Container Terminal operations. Door - to - Door ( F C L ) With our comprehensive network and in-house services including inland transport, container-terminal, warehousing and stevedoring, we are able to offer our clients the highest quality and most efficient door- to- door container transport system. We offer the industry a versatile range of container equipment in order to meet any transport requirement. Since autumn 1996 we have been offering 45ft Magnum's, especially designed for carriage of high-volume low-density cargo's (33 EURO-pallets -88,5 cbm). Groupage service ( L C L ) Containerships offers an effective groupage service, combined with reliable collection / distribution services meeting your requirements. Operational areas Finland, United Kingdom, Ireland, Benelux, Baltic states and Russia. Terminal and warehousing services Containerships offers centralised Port Operations in Helsinki, Hamburg, Teesport, Rotterdam and in St. Petersburg. HELSINKI Helsinki is the centre of Finland's container traffic. Since 1978 Containerships has centralised its Finnish port operations to the most extensive of the five Helsinki harbour areas, The West Harbour. Unlike most shipping lines operating in the Finnish Gulf region, Containerships has in Helsinki own stevedoring operation utilising the most modern handling facilities. The Containerships container terminal is equipped with a very fast 1995 built Liebherr container gantry crane, the first in Finland. The back-reach areas are handled with a 1998 built RTG crane and several reach-stackers. All container handling and temporary warehousing are centralised within the West Harbour area, thus avoiding unnecessary drayage costs. The (bonded) Containerships cargo terminal offers 3000 sqm. of covered space and it is equipped with forklift and paper-clamp machinery. Both container and cargo terminals are rail connected providing fast on-carriage to/from all rail-connected destinations in Finland (or Russia). St. PETERSBURG In order to ensure a fast and reliable service, Containerships established a dedicated terminal in the St. Petersburg Port area in 1994, the first Western company to do so. In connection with our regular sailings from / to the United Kingdom and N-W Continent, we are able to offer a superior door-to-door service to / from Russia. Tanker deliveries arranged in either "tipper" or "belly" tanks. Also a "suction blower machine" available for handling granulate loads.
