COMPANY PROFILE Cargo Service Co. Ltd is a private company (100% Polish capital) established in Szczecin (Poland) in 1989. At disposal of the company are also branch offices in other Polish main sea ports, i.e. Gdansk and Gdynia. We employ highly qualified management and well-experienced staff - actually of 30 people. Having been active for just over 14 years on the Central European Market we offer a comprehensive service, covering : Cargo Service - Head Office international forwarding (transport by rail, trucks, barges and sea-going vessels) sea port cargo : handling, storing & manipulations cargo chartering & booking, ship agency (clearing) and customs clearance project logistics and maritime consulting Universal to organise all kinds of goods transportation - general & bulk cargoes - we specialise in: mill steel products , including delivery of drilling pipes to oil fields worldwide awkward & heavy lift cargo grain and feed frozen fish coke, coal, split, sand & gravels containers Our company forwards import-export-transit via Poland to all geographical destinations, as well as organises transport fully outside Polish territory, mainly using the Mediterranean Sea ports. We are ready to carry out the combined transport (door-to-door) additionally being your insurance agent. Cargo Service has become one of the five founders and shareholders of Gdansk Container Terminal (GTK S.A.) - the youngest and the most competitive in Polish ports. We have been also participating in the CargoLifter project - the airship designed for heavy lift or oversized cargo transportation - as a shareholder and the only agent for Poland. Annual throughput capacity exceeds 50,000 TEU with a handling rate of 20 containers per hour. GTK is an ideal gateway connecting Poland with Baltic and West European ports due to its natural location at the crossroads of North-South & West-East trade routes. Currently, four regular ( every week ) liner services are provided - Gdansk Container Terminal Serviced by IMCL (Inter Marine Container Lines): Gdansk - Hamburg - Bremerhaven. 328 TEU ship Robert calling at Gdansk every Friday. Scan Baltic Express 1 (east bound) serviced by OOCL (Orient Overseas Container Line): Gdansk - Hamina - St. Petersburg - Hamburg - Grangemouth - Antwerp - Rotterdam. Two 860 TEU container ships Neva and Nevskiy calling at Gdansk every Thursday. Scan Baltic Express 2 (west bound) serviced by OOCL: Gdansk - Hamburg - St. Petersburg. 660 TEU container ship Narva calling at Gdansk every Friday. CONTAINER SERVICE Since 01.08.2003 Cargo Service has been nominated by container owners CONTAINERSHIPS OY from Helsinki as their General Agent in Poland The owners have started container liner service with m/v "Petsamo" with port rotation Helsinki - Gdansk - St. Petersburg - Helsinki with weekly calling to Port of Gdansk - GCT, Szczecinskie berth Presently loading capacity of "Petsamo" is 130 TEU. In case of higher demand the owners are ready to change the vessel to bigger one with loading capacity ca 750 TEU The owners have more than 8.000 own containers of different types, standard and specialized as well. Most of them are 'wide-pallet' type Containerships have their own container terminals in Helsinki and St. Petersburg. They possess also own container trucks. The owners offer deliveries of cargo in their own containers mostly on 'door-door' basis. They accept also 'port - door' transports. CONVENTIONAL SERVICE Since October 2003 Cargo Service has been nominated by Norwegian vessel operator - company COLD STORE AND TRANSPORT GROUP - CTG from Sortland as their General Agent in Poland CTG has started a conventional liner service from Norwegian ports to Szczecin with m/v "Gullholm" 1650 DWT, with Szczecin calling 3 times a month, on an average 10 days Service offers transport of frozen cargo (palletized frozen fish in general) in 'IN' and all general cargo, excluding long-loads, in 'OUT' Through the transport network based on Alesund port the owners service practically all Norwegian ports, from Kristiansand to Russian Murmansk Oslofjord is not in range, however owners are ready to call there with a shipment min 300mt The vessel has been loading and discharging through side-board ramp, while particular decks are communicated together with hydraulic lifts There can be loaded on main deck of the vessel up to 36 TEU containers or other heavy or oversize cargo. The vessel is equipped with own lashing, securing materials. It has also own 1,5-3,0mt forklifts. There is 5mt crane and 28mt boom on the board. Liner base for frozen cargo is located at Polskie quay while for general cargo at Wegierskie quay - warehouse no. 12 Sailing: PORTS OF CALLING SAILING FREQUENCY VESSEL All Norwegian ports North of Kristiansand.
