THE COMPANY The company has been founded in the year 1987 by Mr. V.Kampakis who is involved in the shipping business since 1972. The company still remains as a private company and it succeeded in being acceptable and in gaining respect very soon at the close community of the maritime offices of Thessaloniki and Piraeus. Rail Transportation 1.The Shipping Section 1.1 Shipping Agent One of our main business purposes-activities is acting as agents for charterer's, line's, or owner's account, available to be appointed by one of concerning part s of a C/P or contract anytime. Experienced and ready to take up VSLS to act as representatives agents of them at their call to our port and to offer our office's services as follows a. VSL'S call announcement to the port b. Berthing c. Free pratique - formalities d. Sign on/off - changing crew (members) e. Bunkering f. Spares' delivery g. Certificates' checking h. Preparing of clearance for sailing Moreover our office is acting as agent or chartering for bulk carriers and general cargo VSLS. 1.2 Broker Highly important is meant to be also our activity as broker putting owners and charterers in contact. Our witness is the cooperation that have been created thanks to our "interaction". 2.Forwarder Our long term experience and knowledge for several different cargoes taught to us lots of the particularities that the transportation and handling of transit especially and local commodities appear. We gained through the years a significant percentage of the cargoes which cross our port. It has been proved that our services as "custom brokers" are in a very extended rate thanks to our exclusive cooperation with large commercial factories commodities, from abroad, thanks to our exclusive cooperation with transit cargoes departments of the main CNTRS shipping lines which call our port. Our presence at this sector for so long has developed at the higher level our relationship with the Customs' officers. This is a matter of fact. 4.Operation-Agency for containers Vessels' Our close collaboration with some of the famous particular container shipping lines gave us the opportunity to have a very skilled department which takes up the operation of the CNTRS VSLS with perfect results. The facilities that we are able to offer seem to be of the most competitive in our area. Our domain in this operation, is the responsibility of the following. a. Control of private terminals. b. Control of the trucks. c. Cargo plan (vessels' loading - discharging) d. Discharging - Loading operation The loading of the containers is realized by the means of computerized system. 5.Port's operation and agency for iron products and bulk Our team in the port is in position to offer you its excellent services for the receiving or forwarding or loading or discharging of cargoes such as: iron raw materials, iron products, bulk (ore, coke, mineral, wheat, soya, fertilizers). The department of port?s operation has its own office + space in the port and performs logistic of cargoes of iron products/materials by recording the: lots/pieces/dimensions/destinations/damages /losses as well as the loading and discharging of vessels and wagons or trucks. This department is composed by: 1. Executives with knowledge and experience 2. Computerized system 3. Specialized labour staff 6.Lashing Service The large quantities of cargoes under agency and forwarding responsibility, (PLATES, SLABS, COILS, CONTAINERS, VEHICLES) through our company, for which lashing is necessary has led us to create our own service to offer this kind of service. With latest technology equipment and with excellent skills at the procedure of stowage and lashing we ensure the secure transportation of cargoes. Apart from the lashing on the heavy cargoes (PLATES, COILS, SLABS) our team takes over also the unlashing/lashing at containers vessels. During the stowage and the lashing we can provide digitally, through our computerized program, the full and constant view of the vessel and of the cargo during operation progress at any place in the world you instruct us to. 7.Logistic of Cargoes (in storage area) Due to all the above services and as a result of our experience and of the computer programs that we have created, we are in position to offer all the surveillance, counting, forwarding of the cargoes in full detail. 8.Reefer Vessels' Agency Our company is acting as agent for reefer (fruit) VSLS. Thanks to our good reputation at the commercial fruit companies of abroad and the rare experience that we dispose we have the exclusive privilege to monopolize this kind of VSLS at Thessaloniki's Port. Of course we are the only agent of our port that has the exclusiveness of cooperating with the privately owned reefer warehouses inside the Free Zone of our port. 9.Trucks Transportation (Local - International - Heavy) The transportation of containers, machines, heavy pieces is another of the services that we may offer. We cover the road transportations of cargoes from Thessaloniki's Port with destination: F.Y.R.O.M. , SERBIA, BULGARIA, ROMANIA, ALBANIA taking up the full responsibility (Guarantee) for the delivery or receiving of the above mentioned cargoes. We are specialized in the heavy transportation from Thessaloniki to the Balkan Countries. 10.Rail Transportation Moreover the rail transportation towards Balkan countries is being covered by our contracts with the Greek Railways. These contracts, give us the opportunity for better freights. We have the capability and flexibility to offer a perfect service through the Railways.
