ABOUT TRANSMARINE Transmarine Navigation Corporation was founded in 1938 in Los Angeles and remained a liner agency until the late 1970's. A change of ownership gave the company new direction and Transmarine was restructured as a specialist "Tank/Tramp Steamship Agency." In the early 1980's the company embarked on a rapid expansion from the four small US west coast offices to its present international status with a network encompassing the USA plus locations in Canada, Mexico and Singapore. Our expertise is recognized worldwide as specialists in tanker and dry cargo operations. Our California Offices represent more tanker principals than all other agencies combined. The Pacific Northwest, in addition to being a leader in liquid cargoes, is widely acclaimed for its expertise in grain and logs.
