Page 1 of 1 [Back to companies list]
The Port of Naantali is ideally positioned at the south-west tip of Finland. Ice poses no problem in even the harshest of winters and the fairway stays open all year round. Sheltered by the Finnish Archipelago, not even pack ice impedes traffic, so the fairway remains clear and navigable for tonnage of all sizes, including smaller vessels. Good road and rail connections direct from the Port make onward logistics easy. Efficient Logistics Chain Goods traffic flows efficiently through the Port of Naantali so your carriers don t sit idle in dock. The Port provides ample storage facilities, and railway coaches can be unloaded from beneath. Our packaging systems are entirely dependable and customer surveys confirm that Port of Naantali service is first-class! Bulk Goods Oil traffic for the refinery, as well as coal and grain trade, make Naantali a significant bulk cargo port. These three commodities account for more than 70 per cent of total volume. Two-thirds of total volume is imports and one-third exports. The Suomen Viljava Oy grain store is the biggest in Finland. Other bulk traffic through the main port comprises primarily salt, stone and scrap metal. Luonnonmaa harbour offers open storage space and covered warehousing for bulk cargo, and storage tanks for vegetable oils. Packaging Services The Port of Naantali has invested in comprehensive customer service for its transport services. All-round value-added services such as repackaging are available for bulk cargo operations in the port storage area.
