The business includes forwarding the specification of the vessel to our Shipyards, obtaining quotations, liasing between Shipyards and Owners to ensure a firm stem for our yards, ensuring that Owner s representatives are well received by the yard, assisting in resolving any differences and disputes that may arise between Owners and a Yard in connection with the repair or quotation with a view to ensuring a smooth and satisfactory culmination of the project. The Division also arranges for the services of Riding Squads and arranges Afloat Repairs at Shipyards and Marine Workshops worldwide. The Division handles placement of advertisements in newspapers, preliminary short-listing of candidates based on biodatas received, interviews of short-listed candidates and preparation of a final list together with recommendations for the Principal. The final list is thereafter agreed with the Principal and arrangements made for the visit of representatives of the Principal and all short-listed candidates are intimated and appointments confirmed. Interviews are conducted in Bombay and other places in India, Thailand or the Phillpines depending on the job nature of personnel to be recruited. After the successful candidates have been selected, the Division ensures that all procedures for Visa and other formalities are complied with and completed in a time bound schedule and arranges for the passage of the candidates to their new assignments.
