One of the largest Shiprepairs yards in South America, with more than 100 years of experience in the complete range of ship repairs and conversions. The historical importance of this landmark shipyard was enhanced in 1901 with repairs carried out on the "ANTARCTIC", a Swedish expedition ship bound for the South Pole under the command of Otto Nordenskjold and 2nd. Lieutenant Jose Maria Sobral, from the Argentine Navy, as Pilot. Towards the close of 1910, over 100 vessels had been repaired annually at these docks.
