The Goulandris family has been continuously involved in the shipping business since at least the mid-19thcentury and first established an office in London in 1929. Goulandris Brothers (Chartering) Ltd was established in 1968, initially to provide clients of the family's Greek-based ship management service with a dedicated ship chartering and brokerage service. In the event of any proceedings being commenced against you or any of your servants or agents in connection with the delivery of the cargo as aforesaid, to provide you or them on demand with sufficient funds to defend the same. 3. If, in connection with the delivery of the cargo as aforesaid, the ship, or any other ship or property in the same or associated ownership, management or control, should be arrested or detained or should the arrest or detention thereof be threatened, or should there be any interference in the use or trading of the vessel (whether by virtue of a caveat being entered on the ship s registry or otherwise howsoever), to provide on demand such bail or other security as may be required to prevent such arrest or detention or to secure the release of such ship or property or to remove such interference and to indemnify you in respect of any liability, loss, damage or expense caused by such arrest or detention or threatened arrest or detention or such interference, whether or not such arrest or detention or threatened arrest or detention or such interference may be justified. 4. If the place at which we have asked you to make delivery is a bulk liquid or gas terminal or facility, or another ship, lighter or barge, then delivery to such terminal, facility, ship, lighter or barge shall be deemed to be delivery to the party to whom we have requested you to make such delivery. 5. As soon as all original bills of lading for the above cargo shall have come into our possession, to deliver the same to you, or otherwise to cause all original bills of lading to be delivered to you, whereupon our liability hereunder shall cease. To indemnify you, your servants and agents and to hold all of you harmless in respect of any liability, loss, damage or expense of whatsoever nature which you may sustain by reason of the ship proceeding and giving delivery of the cargo against production of at least one original bill of lading in accordance with our request. 2. In the event of any proceedings being commenced against you or any of your servants or agents in connection with the ship proceeding and giving delivery of the cargo as aforesaid, to provide you or them on demand with sufficient funds to defend the same. 3. Yours faithfully For and on behalf of The Requestor Signature TRADING EXCLUSIONS ------------------ "The vessel is to be employed in lawful trades for the carriage of lawful merchandise only between safe berths, ports anchorages or areas where the vessel can safely lie always afloat except at such places in Argentina, not north of San Lorenzo, Brazil and Uruguay grain ports, not north of Recife, where it is customary for the similar size and dimensions of vessel to safely lie aground, which is always at Charterers risk and subject to the permissible/ prevailing draft declared by Port Authorities/pilot. The vessel is to be employed only within I.W.L. excluding: Hudson Bay, Great Lakes, Iceland, White Sea, Sweden, Belize, Guatemala, Cuba, Liberia, Nigeria, Angola, Zaire, Republics of Former Yugoslavia (except Koper, Rijeke, Plomin and Bakar which OK), Libya, Albania, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Ethiopia, Somalia, Yemen, Iraq, North Korea, Cambodia, Pacific Ports of C.I.S, and also excluding war, and war like, zones and the territorial waters of any countries or places from time to time subject to War Risks Trading Warranties Exclusions and relevant terms of the International Underwriting Association of London and Lloyds Underwriters Association. The vessel is not allowed at any time to trade to the ports/areas which are prohibited from trading by the United Nations and /or International organisations of U.N. and/or the authorities of the country under which flag the vessel is flying. No short voyage consecutive trading for voyages of less than 25 days permitted. No direct sailing between Mainland China and Taiwan or between South and North Korea." CARGO EXCLUSIONS ---------------- "The vessel is to be employed in carrying lawful, harmless merchandise excluding iron ore swarf, iron oxide, iron sponge, ferrosilicon, sodium nitrate, fertilizers except non-hazardous types, calcium oxide, chipped bone, chrome ore, zinc ashes, zinc dross and residue, pyrites, borates, calcium hypochloride, aluminium dross, fish meal, fish scrap, aluminium ferrosilicon, nitrates, ammonium nitrate, aluminium nitrate, calcium nitrate, magnesium nitrate, lead nitrate, potassium nitrate, castor beans, kaolin clay, errous metal, livestock of any description, arms, ammunition, explosives, black powder, dynamite, TNT, blasting caps, acids, calcium carbide, ammonium sulphate, direct reduced iron ore pellets, hot briquetted iron, furnace slag, sunflowerseed expellers, seedcake and expellers requiring Co2 and/or special carrying/hold conditions, soda ash, mineral sands, silica sand, copra, wet hides, bulk rice, any type of scrap, motor blocks, turnings, asbestos, fluorspar, nuclear cargo/waste and /or fuel and /or other radioactive products, naphtha, petroleum products, pitch, tar, asphalt in bulk and /or products, technical urea, cement, cement clinker, salt, sulphur, petcoke, injurious or inflammable or corrosive cargoes and all dangerous cargo/es and/or any cargo/es that requires lime washing and/or any/all all cargo/es that require more that grain clean hold conditions. All cargoes to be loaded, stowed, carried and discharged in accordance with the IMO Code of Safe Practice for Solid Bulk Cargoes and Bimco Bulk Carrier Safety Clause. When discharging coal, grabs or bulldozers are not to be banged against vesssel's shell plates or bulkheads, nor pneumatic jack hammers utilised, to dislodge coal from vessel's sides."
