ON BOARD EVERYTHING BECOMES SO EASY ! PRACTICAL INFORMATION ACTIVITIES AND EVENING ENTERTAINMENT : There will be a lively and varied daily programme of cultural activities and games. Once the sun goes down, we will mix special cocktails for you. Theme evenings, dances and other entertainment will be organized. AIR CONDITIONNING : This may be adjusted on an individual basis and your cabin maid is available should you need help obtaining the required temperature. ANIMALS : Animals are not admitted on board. CABIN KEYS : A keycard is available for each cabin, enabling you to lock your cabin when you are away from it. Please leave your card key at reception each time you disembark. CHILDREN : For safety reasons, we kindly ask parents not to let their children play without supervision on the deck and stairways, or touch life jackets and other safety equipment CLOTHING : In the day, leisure wear is recommended. For excursions, bring practical clothes, as well as comfortable shoes. At night, every kind of elegance is permitted ! DAY-USE ROOMS : Upon disembarking in Pointe a Pitre, a few day-use rooms are at disposal for all passengers. This service is offered on a complimentary basis. DISEMBARKATION AT THE END OF THE CRUISE : As the end of the cruise draws near, the logbook will post all the information to do with disembarkation formalities. Please read this carefully ELECTRICITY : 220 V AC 50 hertz is supplied to all plugs, in compliance with European standards. EMBARKATION : Embarkation formalities and baggage inspection will be carried out by our stewardesses when you arrive on board. To simplify customs formalities, please hand the stewardess your passport, which will be returned to you at the end of the cruise EXCUSIONS ON TERRA FIRMA : There will be a selection of charged excursions* at certain ports of call. Please sign on with the Cruise Purser who will describe the various ports of call early on in the cruise. We ask you to refrain from eating unwashed fruits and unbottled water while on dry land. GETTING ASHORE : We have speedboats to take you ashore in next to on time ; they may also be used for your favourite nautical pastimes. There will be shuttle boats at very port of call. LAUNDRY : Your cabin maid is available to deal with your laundry*. Please allow 48 hours for washing and ironing your clothes. A same-day ironing* service may also be provided. There is no dry-cleaning on board, so please only give us garments to be washed. LIBRARY/VIDEO LIBRARY : A wide choice of books and video tapes is at your disposal throughout the cruise. LOGBOOK : Our logbook, published daily, tells you about life on board and stopover organization. It will be placed in your cabin every evening. MAIL : You may leave letters and postcards at reception. Please write your cabin number in the top right hand corner. The cost of stamps will be added directly to your bill. MEALS : Continental breakfast will be served in your cabin on request or in the form of an American buffet in the panoramic restaurant. Lunch is buffet style and served on the terrace of the panoramic restaurant, looking out on the sea. At night, dinner " French-style " will be served at the table, in the gourmet restaurant.. MIN IBAR : A minibar*, restocked every day, is available in your cabin. Your will find the prices in the cabin. This service is at your personal charge. PASSPORT AND VISAS : All passengers must have valid passports and visas where necessary. PAYMENT ON BOARD : Once on board an account will be opened in your name. Your shop purchases, bar drinks, laundry etc. will be added directly to your bill. The official currency on board is the EUROS. The evening before disembarkation, the total bill will be brought to your cabin or available at reception. Please settle all bills the following morning at the latest. Credit cards such as the Carte Bleue, American Express and Mastercard, cash and traveller's cheques are all accepted on board. Personal cheques made out in EUROS are accepted. POLLUTING ON THE SEA : Please do not throw anything (paper, food etc .) overboard when the ship is in port and at the sea. International regulations formally prohibit this and the ship may be fined for any infringement.. SHOPPING : Products bearing the Company colours are available, as are essential items. To comply with current legislation, the shop will close when the ship is in port. TELECOMMUNICATIONS : To phone anywhere in the world, there are two systems for you to use : a satellite communications system, with the charges billed direct to your credit card bank account, and, when possible, a cheaper mobile phone link, which will be charged to your ship account. Your calls may be transferred direct to your cabin or to any public area on board. If you want to send telexes or faxes, please hand these in to reception in a sealed envelope ; reception will pass them on to the Captain. Telexes and faxes received on board will be given to you in sealed by the cabin staff. TIPPING : Tips are not obligatory and are left to your discretion. VACCINATIONS : Some countries require an obligatory vaccination, and you should have a valid certificate. Don't forget to check these formalities before your departure. VALUABLES : A personal safe is available in your cabin, where you may store your valuables. We ask you to use the ship's main safe for any previous valuables ; please ask reception for details.
