Much of our marine activities through the seventies and eighties were concentrated around large offshore structures, including survey of safe inshore and offshore towing routes, as well as positioning services during tow-out and final offshore installation. Although the company has been heavily involved with the offshore industry, inshore survey activities have been maintained from the very start. Such survey activities has been detailed bathymetric surveys of harbours, monitoring of dredging operations and general verification of depths. The company went public in 1988 and is now quoted on the Oslo Stock Exchange. The Blom Group shall execute projects and supply systems and services within two areas: mapping at sea and mapping on land. The company shall have a strong international profile and be one of the world's leading companies in these areas.
