BACKGROUND Since its inception in 1976, RESON has grown from a national transducer supplier to a global, multidisciplinary systems house. A family founded and operated company, RESON is Dun & Bradstreet AAA rated, holds an AQAP quality assurance certification, and maintains an internationally experienced professional board of directors. The corporate headquarters are located in Denmark, and wholly owned subsidiaries have been established in Santa Barbara, California; in Aberdeen, UK; and in Kiel, Germany. CAPABILITIES The ability of the corporation to develop leading-edge products and undertake complex systems engineering projects from conception through development, deployment, and maintenance is built on 20 years experience and a highly skilled staff. Thirty percent of RESON's staff are degreed engineers specialized in fields including Mathematics, Electronics, Mechanics, Physics, Materials, Signal Processing, and Software. Large scale System projects are undertaken together with established high-technology industry expert partners. Small projects are handled quickly and efficiently through modification of standard solutions. Government sponsored research programs are undertaken in collaboration with universities and laboratories from all over the world, and past performance has made RESON a highly desirable and respected partner in our main application areas: Integrated sonar systems for naval, hydrographic, and off-shore applications. QUALITY MANAGEMENT RESON's commitment to quality is documented in our Quality Management System, which is certified according to AQAP 120 (ISO 9002), and we are in the process of upgrading to AQAP 110 (ISO 9001). Customer requests are carefully evaluated to ensure complete contractual consensus. All incoming materials and outgoing products are inspected by qualified inspectors to ensure that the specified quality is obtained. The complete manufacturing process is monitored, from development through production and shipping. All products from RESON can be delivered with a Certificate of Conformance. TECHNOLOGY Within the main application areas, an range of core technologies have been identified and are continually developed. These include: Acoustic propagation and backscatter modeling Finite element modeling Low power, low noise, high-density analog signal conditioning Data acquisition and high-speed telemetry Massively parallel signal processing hardware and firmware High-speed image processing Cross-platform compatible applications software System interfacing and integration TECHNICAL SERVICE AND FIELD SUPPORT Worldwide offshore operations demand a responsive in-field support organization well equipped for dealing with all aspects of system hardware, software, and interface issues. This in-field support is backed up by a comprehensive, geographically distributed spares inventory. Training programs cover systems installation, operation, maintenance, and service.
