BTDG-Marketing BTDG: ro-ro terminal Part of the terminal dedicated to Ro-Ro transhipments spreads along the Basin V of the Gdynia Port. Initiated on the 1st August 2001, it consists of the two modern ramps, newely built or refurbished warehouses, sheds, and strengthened open storage areas, namely: Warehouses and storage areas: mag. 19 - 5600 sqm gross of warehousing mag. 16 - 12500 sqm gross mag. 15 - 8700 sqm gross shed ;A; - for abt. 66 pieces of RT trailers shed ;B; - for abt. 60 pieces of RT trailers storage area XIX - for 93 pieces of road trailers storage area XIX ;N; - for abt. 20 pieces of road trailers, or containers carrying dangerous goods dedicated container storage area XVII - 352TEU -7700 sq m parking place XXVII ;B; - for abt. 120 road trucks Quays Stanow Zjednoczonych length 290,00 m depth 8,30 m (at the ramp ;B;) Czechoslowackie length 215,00 m depth from 7,70 m to 8,00 m Rumunskie (in part) length 855,00 m depth from 8,70 m at the ramp ;A; to 9,30 m The terminal operates modern equipment such as: gantry crane, and reach stacker, both of 45t capacity, SISU ro-ro tractors, RT trailers (60T), CLARK and CALMAR fork lifts, including those for high stowage. Ever growing volume of trade with Central Europe, and the favourable business climate offered by the Port of Gdynia Authority and the Baltic General Cargo Terminal make, that many renowned shipping companies choose Gdynia as their regular port of call, offering sailings to main European and other destinations. BTDG - Baltic General Cargo Terminal Gdynia Ltd. has started its activity on the 1st August 1995, as part of the capital group of the Port Gdynia Holding S.A., and spreads in the eastern, historical part of the Port of Gdynia. Being proud of our tradition, we nevertheless concentrate all our efforts in creating the new image of this portual area, the one meeting the technological demands of the XXI century. Yours faithfully, Jacek Dubicki BTDG: Conventional cargoes Baltic General Cargo Terminal Ltd offers transhipment, stowing, warehousing and value added services to all kinds of conventional general cargoes in seaborn trade, such as: steel products, bagged cargoes (i.e. rice, sugar, milk powder, cocoa and coffe, fertilizers etc.), as well as granit blocks, heavy and over measurement cargoes, and containers. Part of the warehouses at the Francuskie berth is dedicated to serve and store perishable goods, like bananas and exotic fruits. This part of the Terminal located along the Basin VI, and part of Basin V consists of: BTDG: Warehouses Particularly interesting form of cargo storage ( i.e. for cargoes in imports), is through the duty free warehouses, where cargo can be deposited on 'to order' basis, and without the need of vadium or financial guarantee. Baltic General Cargo Terminal Gdynia is authorised to run following duty free warehouses situated right on the countries border: warehouse no. 22 (22, Rumunska St.) located in the first line of Rumunskie berth, with good access to quay , rail road and route system. Three separate sections A,B,C, guarantee abt. 5.406 sq.m. of gross storage space, and warehouse 'S' (9, Dokerow St.), in the second line along the Stanow Zjednoczonych berth, where two separate sections A and B dispose of abt. 5.058 sq.m. gross storage space. The warehouse is fitted with ramps for trucks and rail cars. Our customers can also make use of the bonded warehouses Mag. 'P' (3, Dokerow St.) and Mag. 'R' (5, Dokerow St.), both along the second line of Stanow Zjednoczonych berth. First of them disposes of 4,996 sq.m., the other 5,841 sq.m. on the upper and 6.362 sq.m. gross on the lower floor. Still in this area there is a bonded warehouse Mag.'N' with abt. 1,740 sq.m. gross predisposed for storage of dangerous cargoes. Along the Polska 17 stands the bonded warehouse 'H', of abt. 7,159 sq.m. total area divided into several smaller compartments. BTDG: mission The Company's mission is to create need for and to provide services of : transhipment, stowage and storage of various goods, such as: unitized cargoes, vehicles, conventional general cargoes, heavy and awkward goods, palletizing, wrapping, labelling and other services for imports, exports and transit in the seaborn trade. BTDG: strategy The Company's strategy focuses on three main areas of activity: transhipment of goods in ro-ro technology, conventional general cargo related issues, as well as operation and storage of perishable and refrigerated goods. The Terminal strives to improve the quality of its services, its competitivenes, and management of contacts with present and potential clients in order to maintain and strengthen its position towards the hinterland. Investing in modern technologies, infrastructure and equipment the Terminal will become the main transit hub between Scandinavia and the south of Europe.
