With a current handling capacity of some 400.000 TEU, and a potential capacity of 800.000 TEU, the Port of Gdynia's Baltic Container Terminal (BCT) is the leading container terminal in Poland and one of the largest in the Baltic region. The Terminal was officially opened on 29 October 1979 and the first container vessel was handled in 1980. In June, 2003 International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI), a Philipine based international container terminal operating company, became the owner and operator of BCT. The terminal covers an area of 60 hectares and includes: 1. Baltic Container Terminal Ltd, 2. Container repair workshops, 3. Mostva Ltd.- PDI auto center 4. Outside parking area for trucks, 5. Fuel station, 6. Depot Terminal for empty containers, 7. Storage yard for cars.
