The company is founded in 1875 and has been a family company ever since. The company is well known all over the world as a specialised in the design and manufacturing of manoeuvring modules. These modules consist of the rudder blade, stock and extended rudder trunk. We deliver these modules as complete as possible (including steering gear foundation and fitting bolts for any type of actuator, grease system etc.) all over the world. Since we delivery all types of rudders (spade, semi-spade, flap, fish tail) we can give you an objective advice for the rudder best fit for your ship. Besides manoeuvring modules we also produce shaft brackets, stern tubes and stern rollers. HOME Welcome Products Route Email BOT Groningen BV Products Manoeuvring modules The manoeuvring modules consist of rudder blade, stock and trunk, including hydraulic nuts, sealing, grease system and stuffingbox. Each of these modules is custom made for any type of ship. Rudder blade BOT-GRONINGEN is a company that designs and manufactures all types of rudders. For example spade rudders, mariner rudders, flap rudders fishtail rudders etc. with a rudder area from ca. 2 m 2 till up to 30 m 2 . The rudders are fit for any type of ship. From fishing vessels to chemical tankers, from yachts to cruise vessels and everything in between. Rudder stock We also deliver the rudderstock; complete with hydraulic nuts and the top end of the stock machined for any type of actuator. Rudder trunk Part of our delivery is an extended rudder trunk, tailor made for ship's structure. This can be extended to the complete fairwater, frames and steering gear deck. Also included is the steering gear foundation (for any type of actuator) and the necessary fitting bolts. Shaft brackets For your twin-screw vessel we can provide you with the design and production of the various shaft brackets. The shaft brackets can be either V or I shaped, constructed or casted. Stern rollers Stern rollers for loads up to 250 ton, complete with seatings and bearings.
