North American Container Services "K" Line has always been a transportation service innovator in the Transpacific trades and currently operates services to the Pacific Northwest, Pacific Southwest and East Coast. For more than two decades, "K" Line has improved and expanded their cargo transportation services between the Pacific Rim, Europe, the Mediterranean, and North America. Double-Stack Train Service "K" Line operates nine eastbound double-stack trains a week and four weekly westbound trains to and from 38 major hub points in North America. Our DST services are the logical extension of our ocean fleet. "K" Line shippers also benefit from on-dock capabilities which allow direct transfer from ship to train. Modern Containers "K" Line currently operates an extensive fleet of containers for your transporation needs. Supplementing the standard 20-foot, 40-foot, 40 HC and 45-foot units are specialized containers including GOH (Garment on Hanger) and RF (reefers) in 20-foot, 40-foot and 40 HC sizes. Temperature-Controlled Reefer Service "K" Line is a leader in providing advanced reefer transportation service with a large fleet of refrigerated container units to meet the demands of shippers with time and temperature-sensitive cargo. Whether you transport deep frozen products from processor to market, or require very specific temperature and atmospheric conditions to be maintained, you can count on "K" Line to meet your needs for as long as the cargo is in our hands. "K" Line's Electronic Data Systems "K" Line has developed highly sophisticated global data systems to track all container movements and provide information about shipments, including bill of lading details, rail status, I.T. numbers and current "K" Line vessel and DST schedules. We are also a participant in the US Customs Master Paperless In-Bond Program, which allows brokers to electronically file all customs entries in advance of cargo arrival for destinations throughout the United States. Consolidation and Warehousing "K" Line can provide consolidation and logistics management services in all major Far East ports through its affiliate Century Distribution Systems, Inc. Consolidation enables shippers and consignees to save on freight costs, Customs entries, drayage fees, and other related expenses by maximizing the utilization of container space. In addition, Century offers international supply chain management services. The company tracks shipment status by integrating B2B (Business to Business) data from a global network of vendors, suppliers, consignees, ocean/air carriers, consolidators, deconsolidators, transloaders, Customs brokers and trucking companies. All data gathered in this collaborative logistics environment is available to Century's customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via an Internet tracking site, Enterprise-PCL . The Century database manages shipment activity down to the purchase order (PO) and stock keeping unit (SKU) levels. The objective of the Century program is to give customers visibility and control through current and accurate information, empowering them to make effective decisions about routing and scheduling inventory. For further information about the Century program, visit Century's corporate web site at http://www.cds-net.com. Enterprise-PCL is a trademark of Century Distribution Systems.
