History Maersk Sealand initiated operations in Nicaragua in 1980 and was the pioneer of bringing reliable containerized service to the country. The company is represented by Intermodal S.A. Today, Maersk Sealand has grown to be the largest shipping company in Nicaragua offering reliable worldwide service. Our office is located just three blocks off the main commercial area in Managua, making it easy for our customers to access our office. Our container yard is one of the largest in the country with capacity of over 300 FEUs (Forty Foot Equivalent Unit) at any given time.
