M ller - M rsk A/S for all ordinary shares in the capital of Royal P&O Nedlloyd NV, A.P. M ller - M rsk A/S hereby announces that it has entered into an agreement with Fidelity to purchase 3,319,125 shares in Royal P&O Nedlloyd NV at a price equal to the offer price of EUR 57 minus a discount due to the fact that the purchase occurs prior to the expected completion of the offer provided. Chevron will retain an operated 65% equity share in the Licence, and Talisman Energy maintains its 10% equity holding. The licence area covers blocks 213/5 and 214/1 in the Faroe/Shetland Basin. The Licence was awarded in the 19th UK Licencing Round in June 2001. It is the partnership s intention to conduct a 2D seismic survey in 2005 to further enhance the understanding of the Capercaillie prospect situated in the Licence. Pending results thereof, an exploration well may be drilled in 2006/2007. The Capercaillie prospect is in approx. 1,500 meters of water some 200 kilometers north-west of the Shetland Isles. Other partners in the Production Sharing Agreement are Sonangol (20%), Devon (15%) and Odebrecht (15%). Block 16 covers an area of some 4,900 square kilometres and is situated in water depths of 200-1500 metres, some 100 kilometres from the coast. The companies will carry out an agreed exploration work programme in the area. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals. Block 16 will represent Maersk Oil s first petroleum activity in Angola. Moller Maersk has ordered two deepwater development semi-submersibles at Keppel FELS Limited in Singapore. The new rigs are expected to be delivered in 2008 and 2009 respectively. The rigs will be able to operate at water depths up to 10,000 ft and are designed for the moderate environmental conditions found in for instance West Africa, Brazil, The Gulf of Mexico and Southeast Asia. Great emphasis has been made on improving the drilling efficiency on the new rigs, which are particularly well suited for deepwater development drilling. The rigs feature a dynamic positioning system as well as the ability to attach to a pre-laid mooring system. 180 people can be accommodated onboard. The design, although substantially larger and even more sophisticated, is based on the operational experiences gained from the deepwater semi-submersible MAERSK EXPLORER and incorporates a number of innovative ideas from potential customers. Further, the experience gained by Maersk Supply Service from deepwater development operations has been drawn upon. Exploration in deeper water by Oil Companies has turned out good results and now enters the development phase. In a response to our customers request for lower cost development solutions, we have - together with Keppel FELS, Singapore and Marine Structure Consultants, Holland - designed a high efficiency rig to support our customers ambitions, said Claus V. A definitive contract has been signed and the parties expect to close the purchase in late June when the barges will be taken over by Maersk. Built between 1994 and 1998 the six barges are similar in size and capacities to Maersk Contractors existing fleet in Venezuela. With the acquisition Maersk Contractors will have 12 barge rigs on Lake Maracaibo. We expect the positive development in Venezuela to continue over the coming years. The production of oil is planned to increase significantly through extensive investments by PDVSA and foreign oil companies in exploration for new wells and workover of existing wells. This will lead to increased activity for drilling barges. With the new fleet Maersk Contractors will be in a good position to meet the increasing demand, said Claus V. Moller - Maersk, by naming the newbuilding GUDRUN M RSK at Odense Steel Shipyard. After the namegiving ceremony Their Royal Highnesses inspected the GUDRUN M RSK. From the bridge they had a good view of the entire Shipyard and the surroundings, including Odense Fjord as well as the deck with room for the many containers. The Chairman of the Yard, Mr M rsk Mc-Kinney M ller, hosted the namegiving, which was attended by guests from A.P. Moller - Maersk as well as employees from the Yard and their families, in all more than 2,500 people. With GUDRUN M RSK Odense Steel Shipyard has started the delivery of a new series of updated container vessels which similar to the others are produced with the purpose of securing an extensive automation of the vessel s operation, cargo control and surveillance. The choice of materials for the vessel as well as the interior is of highest quality based on Danish design a characteristic for the container vessels built at Odense Steel Shipyard. With GUDRUN M RSK the standard for environmentally friendly vessels has been further increased. With its 12-cylinder diesel engine from HSD-W rtsil Sulzer, which develops 93,000 BHP, GUDRUN M RSK will after delivery enter Maersk Sealand s worldwide liner service and thereby together with the other vessels contribute to a global, competitive and flexible quality transport for the company s customers. GUDRUN M RSK is registered in Svendborg and will be commanded by Captain S ren Sparre Maagaard with Jens Lykke S rensen as Chief Engineer.
