From the beginning in 1986 up till today, we have established a very large spectre of services within the logistics sector, ranging from warehouse operations to the global handling and managing of goods from origin to destination. Warehousing & Distribution is one of the focus areas of the French organisation. In June 2000 we established Maersk Entrepots and opened a 20,000 sq.m. warehouse in Lyon. In the summer of 2000 a similar facility also of 20,000 sq.m. was opened in Dunkerque. Airfreight is becoming increasingly important to our clients, and consequently Maersk Logistics France S.A. opened an airfreight office in Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris in 2000.
