ABOUT US: In business for over 50 years, Atlantic Towing Limited operates a large and diverse fleet of vessels that work regularly on the East Coast of North, Central and South America. We also specialize in heavy engineering projects and provided workboats, coastal tugs, AHT s, barges, and Z drive tugs during the Hibernia Platform construction as well as during the Confederation Bridge construction. Our fleet of ocean tugs with range to 7200 BHP, are able to provide towing and barging services to Canada s remote regions. Expertise gained in Labrador, the Davis Strait and north to Melville Island make Atlantic Towing capable of meeting the challenges of marine services for offshore resource development. The harbour tug fleet can range to 4000 BHP. Within the Maritimes, Atlantic Towing offers berthing, passenger services, fire protection and pollution control to international marine and domestic carriers. For the winter season, Arctic class/ice breaking tugs are stationed near the Cabot Strait, Lower St. Lawrence and are available for towing, icebreaking, and escort duties. Deck load transport is a major service within the company's operation. Land transport required as an extension of marine operations can be arranged for up to 700 tonne capacity through affiliated companies. Atlantic Towing Limited s fleet of flat deck barges ranging to 4,500 DWT can offer cost advantages to heavy bulk transport operations. Atlantic Towing Limited s aggressive building program now includes two UT-722 offshore supply vessels that have proven experience off the East Coast of Canada.
