The principal surveyor is Captain Stuart J. McLea, a member of the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMSa) he holds the rating of Accredited Marine Surveyor (AMSa). Captain McLea is a retired professional mariner who served for 25 years in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Marine Division. After his retirement he was encouraged by his peers to take up marine surveying, because of his extensive experience gained with the RCMP fleet operations on both the east and west coasts of Canada. Captain McLea has worked with boat yards on both coasts and Great Lake regions in new construction and repair and refit. Captain McLea is the sub-regional chair Ontario, Great Lakes Region of the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors.
