Driven by a customer focused team who really cares." History of Maersk Sealand in Belgium Maersk Belgium, a member of the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group was established in 1980 to act as general agent for Maersk Line (now Maersk Sealand), connecting Antwerp with the Far East. This fortnightly service soon became weekly and was the beginning of an extensive service network out of Antwerp. In 1995 it was decided to merge Maersk Belgium and Maersk Netherlands into Maersk Benelux. After the acquisition of Sea-Land Inc. (late 1999) by A.P. Moller-Maersk group, Maersk Benelux acts as an agent of Maersk Sealand. Maersk Belgium, a member of the A.P.
