The Mina Salman terminal serves the city of Manama and its industrial suburbs. The terminal offers three conventional container berths and roll-on/roll-off facilities. Foodstuff and consumer goods top the imports list, while Aluminium products constitute the bulk of the country's exports. Maersk has had a presence in Bahrain since 1950s. The present organisation Maersk Kanoo Bahrain WLL was formed in the year 2000 as a joint venture between the AP Moller Group of Denmark and the YBA Kanoo WLL of Bahrain. The office at Um al Hassam, Manama, houses 13 employees. Maersk Sealand has its own dedicated weekly feeder service linking Mina Salman to its main transhipment hub at Salalah.
