The terminal has 60 acres of parking, a 363 reefer plug capability, container/refer wash facilities, modern in/out interchange lanes, roadability, 1700' dock, 3 cranes dedicated to U.M.S. and another 1800' of dock and 5 cranes available if needed. The terminals vessel productivity is 36.6 GMPH and the average gate turn time is 15 minutes. Gate, yard and marine operations are supported by the Navis terminal system's. Blount Island is 1 1/2 hours steaming time from pilot pickup vs. 2 1/2 hours to Tallyrand. Jacksonville is serviced by 3 major railroads, i.e. CSX Norfolk Southern, and Fla. Eastcoast. Local drayage rates's are very competitive to each ramp. The terminal is only 15 minutes to I95 and 20 minutes to I10 which are the major interstates covering the north, south and west.
