About Seaboard Marine History Seaboard Marine is an ocean transportation company that provides direct, regular service between the United States and the Caribbean Basin, Central and South America. Established in 1983, Seaboard Marine is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Seaboard Corporation. We have identified unique and profitable opportunities in more than twenty countries while adapting to constantly changing environments. With each office and location contributing steadily to the company's growth, Seaboard Marine is a trade leader in the Western Hemisphere. Services Our success in the region has enabled us to expand into new markets. We now serve twenty countries. Seaboard Marine s facilities include a private terminal of nearly 75 acres at the Port of Miami. We carry more cargo to and from the Port of Miami than any other carrier. Although this facility complies with and exceeds all governmental security madates, it is located outside the seaport s primary cargo control gate, and thus, operates seven days a week, 365 days a year-- a unique convenience for our customers. We recently completed installation of a new security system that integrates the use of over fifty cameras into an on-site command center monitored 24-hours. It is perhaps the most sophisticated camera security system of any U.S. marine terminal. Seaboard s fleet consists of dozens of vessels, thousands of dry, reefer and specialized containers and related equipment with direct service between the U.S. and major ports of call. Our fixed-day schedules make it convenient for customers to coordinate manufacturing schedules and maintain inventories at cost-efficient levels. During the past few years, Seaboard Marine has successfully initiated service to the West Coast of South America from Miami and Houston, as well as New Orleans and Tampico, Mexico. We offer service to Chile and Peru from these ports, as well as a weekly service to Venezuela, Panama and Trinidad from Houston. We also operate our own 70-acre terminal in Houston called Jacintoport. We have also recently increased our frequencies in many trade lanes from South Florida. Sailing direct from the Port of Miami, we now offer three sailings per week to every country in the Northern Zone of Central America (Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua), as well as twice weekly sailings to Rio Haina, as well as a weekly service to Boca Chica, Dominican Republic. Seaboard also now offers daily service to Freeport, Bahamas in addition to our thrice-weekly service to Nassau, Bahamas. Convenient schedules, and an expanding fleet of ships both commanded and managed by a company of dedicated professionals, to and from these markets, has become the trademark of Seaboard Marine.
