Great Water, Inc. was formed in 1996 by Mark and Katherine Fruehauf. Great Water, Inc. specializes in technical marine systems - refrigeration, air conditioning, watermakers, bow thrusters, hot water and cabin heaters and high current alternators. The goal of Great Water is to help our customers get the maximum pleasure and comfort out of their boating experiences. We start with integrated system design and only recommend the most hassle-free, best-supported products on the market. The owners: Mark Fruehauf started his career in commercial broadcasting as Engineering Manager for a major broadcast group. He has been around boats and sailing his entire life. Mark finished a Southern Cross 31 sailboat and went cruising with his family throughout the Caribbean. He managed the St. Lucia office of Cay Electronics for 5 years, working with and directing technicians in the repair and upgrading of hundreds of cruising yachts from Europe and America Kathy Fruehauf was a professional sales person living in Essex, Massachusetts when she became involved with the Essex Shipbuilding Museum. She was instrumental in the museums acquisition of the 95' schooner hull Evelina M. Goulart. Kathy served as volunteer crew on the brig Niagara and volunteered as tour guide in the both the Essex Shipbuilding Museum and the Erie Maritime Museum. She acted as Assistant Manager at Cay Electronics in St. Lucia.
