GETMA has been established in the Republic of Guinea since 1979. The company is in partnership with the Guinean National Line (S.N.G). Since its establishment, all clients have appreciated the company's efficiency and dynamism. Its know-how became a reference particularly in the three following activities. 1. Ship Agencies 2. Logistics 3. Port Handling GETMA has participated in the set up of AGEMAP (Guinean Association of Enterprises and Port Handling) of which it is a member. This association encompasses five port-handling companies and assures the stevedoring for all vessels in the port of Conakry. The company also insures the management of the P.M.O (Port Manpower Office) that employs about 400 workers. GETMA is also a member of the C.T.S (Containers Terminal Services). It operates agencies and stevedoring for the following ship owners : - MESSINA Line / NORASIA - GRIMALDI Line - W.A.L./DAL. - G.S.L - OLDENDORFF - ABOU MERHI Line - CMA CGM GETMA handled 30% of a total volume of 30049 teu / full per year. It is the first private logistics company in Guinea with more than 3000 sea freight and airfreight operations per year. (IATA -ATAF) GETMA has a specialised department for large infrastructure projects, Industrial units and mining companies. We offer our customers a single interlocutor from ex-works, supplier or port of loading to delivery on the mining site and the capacity to respond to administrative, customs and documentary problems that are the essential conditions of reliability and economic operations. The main objective of this department is to meet all the need for logistics support of the mining complex within financial objectives, as stipulated by the customer. ROLE AND FUNCTION OF THIS DEPARTMENT First, it will ensure an administrative and judicial assistance department assigned to direct and advise mining investors in the different administrative and juridical procedures. Secondly, it will help to organise a strong support structure of operations by controlling and planning the supplying of, the control and the transportation of any goods necessary to run the mining operations. Finally, it will supply at the request of mining investors, a general service by setting up the premises (setting up of communications network, accompanying park.) and a staff (watchers, drivers, secretaries ). in order to form a local basis for the customer.
