Fornaes Aps, situated at the Port of Grenaa, has been scrapping vessels during the past 10 years. The two persons who started the company, began scrapping their own fishing vessels in 1993. Soon after they purchased other boats as well, and the number of scrapped vessels today counts several hundreds. Main part of the vessels have been fishing boats of various size, but a military vessel and a larger ferry has been scrapped too. Fornaes Aps now has ca. 28.000 m2 of outdoor stock yard at its disposal and furthermore about 6400 m2 "under roof".
