ALPO Co Ltd. was established on 9 June 1993 in Liepaja Sea Port which is the second largest sea port in Latvia, and since then it has been successfully operating at both the European and American market of crewing services. On July 1993 the company was licensed as a Crewing Agency by the Marine Department of Communication and Transport Ministry of the Latvian Republic. We are also active members of the Latvian Association of Crewing Companies since the very day of foundation thereof . In 1997 as a result of close cooperation with Dobson Fleet Management (Cyprus) on the base of ALPO Co Ltd was established the branch Dobson Shipping Agency (DSA), both ALPO Co Ltd and DSA under the general management of Captain Vladimir Aleksandrov.In 1998 our company was proved to render services (Crew Management) in compliance with the quality standard ISO 9002, and in 2002 - ISO 9001:2000. Certification was carried out by Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI). In 1999, taking into consideration the situation at crewing market, the company opened an additional office in Riga, capital of the Republic of Latvia. Today simultaneously over 600 of our seamen are employed on contract basis on the ships owned by European and American shipping companies.
