The firm was founded in May 2000 by Capt. Eduardo N. Prone and Capt. Benigno Luis Marquez, Directors and Senior Surveyors that extended their professional activities as Marine Surveyors and Consultants after more than 20 years of extensive practice as Senior partners and surveyors to the firm "Capt. Carlos A. Rojo & Assoc" which was discontinued on that date. This new firm was created in order to provide the Maritime Business with a prompt and reliable Consulting and Surveying Service specialised in Loss Prevention and investigation of Maritime Casualties with head office at Buenos Aires, Argentina. Capt. Eduardo N. Prone started his activities in 1978 as a senior partner and surveyor to the firm "Capt. Carlos A. Rojo & Assoc" after 14 years of sea service as Chief Officer and Master of reefer, general cargo vessels and bulk carriers. Capt. Benigno Luis Marquez started his activities as marine surveyor in the same firm in 1980 after 14 years of sea service as Chief Officer and Master of bulk carriers and 2 years service as operation manager to Gotaas Larsen Argentina/ Alianza Naviera Argentine Groups. Associated professionals are co-operating with the firm The office is provided with an Ultrasonic Watertightness tester capable of operating in cargo compartments of upto 10.000 m3, portable GPS, portable echo-sounder, note books and digital cameras. Software containing a complete set of Audit Inspection, Risk Assessment, last version of Condition Survey forms and check lists approved by the Nautical Institute and OCIMF are available. The organisation is supported with updated information regarding Loss Prevention and Risk Assessment as per guidelines and recommendations issued by recognised London P&I Clubs and classification societies. The firm is also provided with its own software including Lashing Manuals as implemented by classification companies including specialised software for Lashing Calculation accomplishing IMO Resolution A.714. Surveyors are supported by an up-to-date technical library. We are prepared to issue a complete digital report. At request, we are able to send e-mail reports and copies directly to principals or designated addresses saving time and workload at your organisation.
