The objectives of the LIMARKO UAB Quality and Safety System are: to ensure safety at sea to prevent human injury or loss of life to avoid damage of the marine environment and to property from ship operations to provide safe practices in ship operation and safe working environments to establish safeguards against all identified risks to improve continuously the safety management skills of personnel both ashore and aboard ships, including preparing for emergencies related to both safety and the protection of the environment to provide service to customers in accordance with their expectations and needs to improve continuously the technical condition of ships and a high standard of qualification of the staff to maintain anti Alcohol/Illegal Drug or Substances environment in the Company and ships under its management. These objectives will be achieved by: maintaining high standards of safety consciousness, personal discipline and individual accountability by adherence to a comprehensive and documented system of training actively promoting employee participation in measures aimed at improving safety and protecting the environment keeping all personnel fully informed of any known or potential hazards that may affect themselves, their colleagues, the ship or the environment by providing up-to-date and pertinent documentation ensuring adherence at all times to the documented operating procedures by a system of internal verification of procedures and activities continuously reviewing all mandatory rules, regulations, industry codes and guidelines that are relevant to specific ship types and trades. Our management philosophy is preventative maintenance work from day one to protect the asset value, contain costs and minimise off-hire periods and stoppages. All employees are expected to comply with Safety and Pollution Prevention Regulations and Procedures described in the Company Quality & Safety System Manuals at all times, and to take the necessary precautions to protect themselves, their colleagues, the ship, its cargo and the environment. Cargo Forwarding Department Limarko forwarding department has good experience in forwarding of various cargoes such as: sawn timber and woodpulp malt, soybean meal, grain and seeds steel products fertilizers and other cargoes The department s team of skilled employees guarantees the higest quality arrangement of the following services: handling and warehousing via Klaipeda port customs clearance railway forwarding all over C.I.S and Baltic States oncarriage/precarriage goods/containers transportation of oversized and heavy units worldwide door-to-door containers deliveries. The department provides the optimum and the most cost-effective package for every destination. All types of containers are available for different cargoes. Ship Agency Department Our experienced agents make sure that our principals have best solution when in contact to port authorities, stevedores or any other legal entity. We co-operate with the ship s masters and port captains and address their queries, whenever they are, at the right place, at the right time and with the best quality and dispatch.
