shiprepair Western Shipyard has modern yard facilities, which provide 24 hour service seven days a week. Repair berthes are equipped with necessary facilities such as fresh water, electricity, gas, oxygen, compressed air and steam, cranes. All work ordered by the customer is carried out according to LR, ABS, DNV, GL, BV, Russian Register's requirements. Our staff has practical experience in ship conversion. The first hull of a fish trawler with the hull launching weight of 1050 tons was built for a Norvegian customer. Building of minor and medium tonnage ships and floating pontoons is one of the main lines of the Yard s shipbuilding activities. 15 hulls have been built and launched as well as sections for 2 ship hulls of different purposes have been produced and shipped for foreign customers since the beginning of shipbuilding in the Yard: 8 trawler and seiner hulls; 4 car and passenger ferry hulls; 2 drilling rig service ship hulls; 1 fish feeder barge hull; sections for 1 drilling rig service ship hull; sections for 1 icebreaker hull. In 2002 the Yard purchased dock No.4 which is used mainly for shipbuilding orders. In April 2003 shipbuilding department was established as a separate unit with its own structure and management. Young and energetic specialists make up the staff of the Shipbuilding Department and they are ready for the realization of new shipbuilding projects. The Yard`s ability to work under new conditions is confirmed by significantly increased income and the number of repaired vessels from Western Europe. SC Western Shipyard Group
