PETROMAKS SPEDIITORI AS The company Petromaks Spediitori AS, a private independent company with 100% Estonian shareholders, was founded in December 1996. The PETROMAKS group renders for the clients the "door-to-door" set of services providing the shipment with simple tariffs and ensuring the timely delivery of cargos. Furthermore, we take care of: transshipment of non-ferrous metals and bulk cargoes; forwarding services for cargoes in Estonia, Russia and CIS - countries including railage payment; arrangements for loading / discharging of any cargoes in Estonian ports; control and monitoring of transit cargoes to / from the ports of Tallinn; order of rail wagons; consulting on transshipment rates for cargoes in Estonian ports, on railway tariffs and sea freight rates; customs clearance of goods; ship's agency services in Estonian ports; ship's chartering services; The company has business contacts and cooperation agreements with all major ports of Estonia, as well as the direct contract with the Estonian Railways securing free carriage of cargoes and payment of railage on favorable terms in Estonia. The main business fields of our company are: transport and forwarding services by sea, railway and road, chartering and ships' agency, warehousing. We take care of the entire transportation chain on behalf of the suppliers and receivers. Petromaks Spediitori AS considers all aspects relating to the storage and handling of the cargo: transportation by Estonian railway, placing the cargo to the customs warehouses, loading / unloading operations, nomination of independent survey / tally companies according to the order of the cargo owner, distribution of financial resources necessary for fulfillment of the above-mentioned operations. CARGO FORWARDING Petromaks Spediitori AS carries out the complete set of transport and forwarding services for cargoes of non-ferrous metals, bulk cargoes, general cargoes, timber cargoes, newsprint, wood pulp, technological equipment in all Estonian ports (including ports of Tallinn Old City, Muuga, Paljassaare, port of Paldiski-South), by all and any type of transport (sea, railway and road). The vessels served by our company deliver the commod-ities to US East Coast (Baltimore, Philadelphia, New Orleans), port Oswego (Great Lakes), Dutch ports, ports of the UK, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Italy, Spain, Poland, Greece. Under forwarding agency of our company the cargo is transported by railway in Estonia and other Baltic states, in West Europe, Russia and CIS-countries and we can offer the services on tracking the cargo on the entire way of its movement. Petromaks Spediitori AS has direct contracts with Ukrainian, Belarusian and Hungarian railways. The trucks served by our company deliver the commodi-ties to Russia, Norway, Finland, Italy, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia and Hungary. The containers served by our company deliver the commodities to/from Russia, CIS countries, ports of West Europe, US East Coast, South-East Asia. SHIP'S AGENCY The ship's agents employed by our company have at their disposal all necessary modern communication equipment allowing them to communicate with any vessel at any point of the sea using all possible means of communication - Inmarsat-telex, mobile telephone, facsimile, e-mail, VHF. Thanks to good and stable relations between PETROMAKS ship's agency and authorities of Estonian ports the acceptance of arriving vessels is performed without delay. Our ship's agents are able to efficiently arrange the necessary vessel's servicing: order the pilot's services and towage assistance, supply of naviga-tion charts and tables, technical equipment and spare parts, repair works if necessary, foodstuff, con-sumer service, crew change (repatria-tion), transport services for the crew members. Port of Tallinn - Muuga Max vessel's length: 280 m Max depth at the berth: 17.4 m We carry out forwarding and transship-ment of non-ferrous metals (primary unalloyed aluminum, secondary aluminum, aluminum alloys, copper products) under direct agreement with the port of Tallinn-Muuga, which is one of the most modern and well-equipped ports in the Baltic Sea. A special terminal with sea depth up to 13.0 meters for handling of aluminum is available. Port of Tallinn - Paljassaare Max vessel's length: 190 m Max depth at the berth: 9.0 m Actually all types of black bulk cargoes - various types of cokes and coals going through the ports of Tallinn, are handled exclusively on the terminal of Petromaks Stividori AS in the port of Tallinn -Paljassaare. Furthermore, Petromaks Spediitori AS is in charge of handling newsprint, primary aluminum, and refrigerated cargoes both as forwarder and ship's agent in Tallinn - Paljassaare. Port of Tallinn Vanasadam (Old City Harbour) Max vessel's length: 240 m Max depth at the berth: 10.7 m While better-known among Tallinn ports as passenger port, Tallinn-Vanasadam also handles cargoes of Petromaks Spediitori AS: 20' containers, cargo in big bags and sacks, newsprint, wood pulp, industrial equipment. Port of Paldiski South Max vessel's length: 140 m Max depth at the berth: 9.7 m Petromaks Spediitori AS has expanded the forwarding and ship's agency activity to the port of Paldiski- South situated 50 km from Tallinn. Paldiski- South specializes and is quite well equipped for handling saw logs and metal scrap. The Company Petromaks Spediitori AS is acting both as forwarding and ship's agent shipped (steal, aluminium and copper products) via port of Tallinn-Muuga, bulk (coal, coke), general (wood pulp, big bags) and timber (saw logs) cargoes via Tallinn-Vanasadam, Tallinn-Paljassaare, Paldiski-South. Forwarding and agency services of the company Petromaks Spediitori AS are certified with ISO 9001:2001 quality standard. Petromaks Spediitori AS is a member of Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO), Estonian Freight Forwarders Association (EEA), International Federation of Freight Forwarders Association (FIATA). Petromaks Spediitori AS has insured its liability as freight forwarder against the following risks: cargo damage, financial loss, third party liability and costs in the insurance company ERGO Kindlustuse AS.
