Aarhus will be called on a weekly basis with direct connections from Muuga/Tallinn, Estonia and Helsinki, Finland with transit times of 2 days. From Aarhus there will be possibilities of direct connections to Felixstowe and Antwerp. Jensen AS, Denmark (CHJ) and became the sole owner of AS Reval Logistik (REVAL). We are very happy with this agreement as this is an important step forward for us in our plans to enhance our presence in both logistic services and the Baltic region in general says Soren Andersen, MD of ESCO, a fully owned subsidiary of Tschudi Shipping Company of Norway. This new regulation comprises a number of measures with only one aim - to effectively protect ships and port facilities from terrorist acts. In order to comply with this code the stevedoring companies in the ports are implementing new procedures, upgrading their security systems and employing additional staff. ISPS fees have already been intorduced at Antwerpen, Rotterdam and Felixstowe ports. This means that now the Clients do not need to present additional T2L documents.
