MMI maintains a list of qualified Consultants / Inspectors selected for theirsupervisory and managerial background with an average of over fifteen years offield experience. ProjectSafety MMI is committed to the management philosophy that safety is a prioritized part of all operations. MMI is a member of IMCA, the Association of Diving Contractors, and the Petroleum Education Council. As a minimum standard, MMI adheres to the safety standards of the Coast Guard, the ADC, and our Client. MMI will aid to ensure that our Client's Contractors understand their safety responsibilities, are trained to carry out these responsibilities, and are held accountable for the results. MMI will aid the Contractor in the planning of a safe job procedure on a daily basis or for each change of job scope. If applicable, MMI will aid the Contractor in the proper writing and application of JSAs and written safety meeting agendas. ProjectCoordination / Inspection Toachieve a safe and efficient project, MMI personnel will endeavor to: Work with the Client's Representative to determine the general job scope and plan. Contact Client's Contractor to discuss safety requirements and project goals. Maintain a prioritized list of Client and Contractor contacts for use in reportable accident, oil spill, gas release, or property damage. Be familiar with plans, specifications, map elevations, locations, permits, right-of-way restrictions, etc. Inspect the job site or route and recommend to the Client any changes deemed necessary. Study material requirements and recommend changes if deemed necessary. Inspect all material, supplies, and equipment furnished by the Contractor relative to quality and compliance with specifications. Assure all work being performed is conducted diligently, continuously, and in good faith in accordance with the agreement, general conditions, specifications, and drawings. Work with the Contractor to resolve any problems that may occur after receiving prior Client agreement, before allowing any change to the project procedures or specifications. Assure that "as-built" drawings are maintained showing any changes from original drawings, complete with exact location and dimensions. Document all changes with photos, video, and / or detailed field drawings whenever possible. Ascertain that the finished product conforms to the letter and intent of specifications and drawings. Know and keep abreast of local and state requirements as well as the Client's project specifications. Meet Client's field personnel, explain project scope, and verify field emergency procedures and permitting requirements. Act as liaison between Contractor and Client field personnel to alleviate project conflicts, fulfill field requirements, and maintain a cooperative work environment. Keep Contractor informed of any project changes so he can plan his work appropriately and reduce downtime due to lack of information. When appropriate, as on day rate or force accounts, aid Contractor in scheduling work projects, overtime, material arrangements, etc., that will be most cost efficient for the Client. Investigate and report to Client any activities by any Contractor that may be hazardous to persons, destructive to the Client's property or equipment, or not in the best interest of the Client. Keep concise and accurate records of the task times with special emphasis on any operation on force account or day rate. Compile Contractor supplied "as-built"/ survey / informational drawings for the Client and assure the information given meets the Client's specifications. Maintain cost accounting and man-hour records as accurately as possible when required. Compile and return to the Client copies of all certifications of equipment, personnel, and test charts as requested by the project specifications. Prepare Contractor post job evaluation and include recommendations for future project improvements when necessary. The variety of projectsinclude anchor watches, pipeline crossings, hazard surveys, hot taps, mechanicalrepairs, pipeline tie-ins, pipeline jetting, riser installations, platforminspections, cable lay and burial, hydrotesting and pigging, emergency pipelinerepairs, hurricane damage, anode retrofit, and salvage. On pipeline and fabrication projects MMI has also supplied welding,AUT, andcoatings inspection, as well as Chief Inspection services. MMI has also inspected SPAR facilities, PLETs, PLEMs, meter skids,interconnecting pipe, and piggable WYE connectors for fabrication andtesting.
